What a rollercoaster of emotions. That’s what this “Black Light” represents for me: living the depth of your soul through art, whether dark or light.

I started this painting inspired by a circus atmosphere. Then, little by little, it took another turn, something much deeper. I have the impression that the canvas has become a reflection of my mind, a circus mind that plays tricks on me.

My mind is a powerful tool, similar to a show where performers string together feats and disorientate me. And yet, I love the feeling of surprise. Throughout the process, I chose to make something beautiful out of it, even when darker parts of my soul were revealed. A shape that blossoms, unfurls and spirals.
