Testimonial of my experience:

Finished this painting this morning after a heavy night filled with nightmares. I woke up unsettled, still carrying that weight. Before even drinking anything, I went straight into my studio. Still in my pajamas, overwhelmed, but needing to paint just to breathe.

I put on music from Nirvana, let myself settle, and began to paint. I worked through my mistakes, through the discomfort, letting everything exist as it was. Intuitively, I returned to this canvas I had set aside for a while, finally ready to face it.

I didn’t use to like this painting. But now that it’s finished, I feel a sense of relief. It holds something true. It reflects a part of my struggle, and because of that, I’ve learned not to love it, but to appreciate it and respect it.

We all struggle in different ways. For me, this painting is a way of acknowledging that even within a structured, linear world, chaos has its place. We are still here to nourish ourselves and to grow, but we have a choice: to do so in a controlled, polished way, or to reveal who we truly are, and honor the beauty within our own chaos.
